Below are some of the things which are not covered by NDIS:
- Everyday items such as toiletries and cleaning products
- Food or groceries
- Medications
- School, TAFE or university fees
- Rent or mortgage payments
- Ongoing repairs or home maintenance
- Motor vehicles (NDIS may fund modifications to motor vehicles)
- Entry fees to movies or attractions.
NDIS does not fund supports that can be provided by other government or mainstream services:
- Hospital care
- Community mental health services
- Immunisation
- Rehabilitation
- Prescriptions
- Unemployment support
- Child care
